A Grandfather from the Cherokee Nation was talking with his grandson.”A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.”It is a terrible fight between two wolves.”
The young grandson listened intently.
“One wolf is evil, unhappy, and ugly: He is anger, envy, war, greed, selfishness, sorrow, regret, guilt, resentment, inferiority/superiority, false pride, coarseness, and arrogance. He spreads lies, deceit, fear, hatred, blame, scarcity, poverty, and divisiveness.”
“The other wolf is beautiful and good: He is friendly, joyful, loving, worthy, serene, humble, kind, benevolent, just, fair, empathetic, generous, honest, compassionate, grateful, brave, and inspiring resting wholeheartedly in deep vision beyond ordinary wisdom.”
The grandson paused in deep reflection of what his grandfather had just said. Then he exclaimed; “Oyee! (in recognition).
Grandfather continued; “This same fight is going on inside you, and inside all human beings as well.”
The grandson paused in deep reflection and recognition of what his grandfather had just said. Then he finally cried out deeply; “Oyee! Grandfather, which wolf will win this horrific war?”
The elder Cherokee replied, “The wolf that you feed. That wolf will surely win!”
woow!! this is so inspirational! 🙂 beautifully written..

Thanks, so delighted you like it. It’s one of my favourite stories from the Cherokee nation and so powerful, especially for those who are unaware of the inner conflict that exists. I would love to take credit for these simple, yet profound words and hopefully one day i’ll write something as wonderful but full credit for these words lie in the heart of the Cherokee Indians. Hope to see you come back and enjoy more of my blog, Love and blessings, Rashelle

One of my favorite quotes: which one will will we feed? That of kindness and all the positive things that bring growth or all that is negative and mean that stunts it? In the book, Live Right For Your Type, Dr. Peter D’Adamo says that Blood Type As are always looking for balance. I find it true about myself as a Blood Type A. My father, a Blood Type O, always talked about moderation, though I think he wishes he could have taken more chances. He was a nervous, high strung, and intelligent man who could have gone far, but for his limiting beliefs. As most of us have heard all our lives; Actions speak louder than words. And will these definitions expand or shrink us? It’s up to the individual and, based on one’s beliefs, will we grow or become stunted? As usual, much “food” for thought.

Sounds like an interesting book, I’ll add it to my reading list. I’ve never really came across anything that speaks of the significance of blood types before, you’ve got me really curious. I love your question at the end about whether this would help us grow or keep us stunted, and like you, I see that over-attachment to any concept, no matter how amazing can actually get in the way of growth. From my experience, and from what I’ve seen played out, particularly this year as more and more people have came to realise they are love, there has been a resistance to lower vibrational energies, and this in itself has caused a barrier to growth. IMHO it is learning to let the rise and fall of emotions pass through us and bring our attention to us what we need to be aware of to move us forward. I love how easily this story brings our attention to our thoughts and the inner-conflict that exists within all of us between the higher and lower self, so simple and yet so profound.
Love having you here to share and expand with. Look forward to seeing you on Facebook in a few days 😀

His first book on blood type is called “Eat Right For Your Type”. I love eating this way; it’s logical and says, “One diet does not fit all.” In the last couple of years, he’s introduced Genotype, which further disseminates his work. As he says, “There are not 6 genotypes there are billions.” as we are, in the end, individuals.

Totally agree, there’s far too many examples of the one type fits all view out there and cause way more problems than they solve. Anything taken to extremes, whether it be something positive like eating healthy or not, can create experiences we’d rather not have. The middle road all the way for me 😀
